Litha (Summer Solstice) Yoga, Sound Bath & Tea Ceremony

  • St George Community Centre Church Road Bristol, England, BS5 United Kingdom (map)

Let’s celebrate the Celtic Wheel of the Year festival Litha with a special yoga practice, sound bath, and tea ceremony.

Litha marks the peak of the solar cycle and the start of Summer. After this point the sun energy will begin to descend. In Celtic mythology this is when power is transferred from the Flower Goddess to the Mother Goddess of Water, Domnu.

At this ceremony, we will channel the energies and flow of water, and draw upon the wisdom of Domnu's water spirit animals to reflect on our own sense of being. By bathing in Domnu's waters she encourages us to see, express and be who we truly are.

The yoga practice will transition into an immersive sound bath, creating a space for deep introspection and awakening the body's innate healing potential.

The ceremony will conclude with the sharing of seasonal herbal tea and nourishing treats, a toast to Litha and Domnu, and to the shared journey experienced.
Age restrictions 15+

This event will be hosted by Ailie Tam (Yoga Rewild) and Ruth Semple (Starshine Roots).
